TECHDIRECT.IE is an Irish based component and accessories website operated by ARES CORE TECHNOLOGIES.
In late 2024 we decided to open a PC Component and Accessories online store to allow our customers in Ireland to be able to order European Stock to build or upgrade their own custom desktop pcs and laptops.
The stock listed on our website is physically in stock in our German Logistics Centre which ships our products to all EU Countries and this allows us to offer a larger range of products at lower prices to our customers here in Ireland.
When you place an order the order is processed here in Ireland and the goods are shiped from our European Warehoue to our facility here in Ireland and then onward shipped to our customers here in Ireland with AN POST or GLS depending on the type of product and the shipping option chosen by the customer.
We do not carry stock here in Ireland however you can place an order on our website and collect from our facility in Carlow , Ireland after you get a collection available email which will happen 5 to 10 business days after you place your order. It is usually quicker to select a delivery option other than collection when checking out as we do process and ship orders as quickly as possible and many orders will arrive in less than the 5 to 10 business days.
Support for Ireland is provided by our staff here in Ireland with emails and support tickets answered during business hours Monday to Friday excluding National Holidays and Weekends. If you sent an email or a message after business hours or over the weekend we will reply on the next business day.
ARES CORE TECNOLOGIES has built and designed Desktop PCs , Workstations and Servers for more than 25 years for our customers across Ireland and Europe. We also distribute components to the trade and other pc builders in Ireland and across Europe with TECHDIRECT.IE being our only retail website for components and accessories.
Our decision to open TECHDIRECT.IE came from over 3,000 emails sent by customers along with a survery were another 1700 customers asked us to offer componentsand accessories to customers in Ireland. It was out decision to seperate components from our GAMEFORCE.IE website to avoid reviews being confused by customers ordering custom pcs and customers who order components and accessories. Customers ordering custom desktop pcs , laptops , workstations and servers have a different type of warranty and service than customers who order components and there are a number of reasons for this however the main reason if that we do not manufacture the components or accessories which means the warranty is provided by the manufacturer and their agents and we must comply with their terms , conditions and procedures. All components and accessories come with full manufacturers warranty with items such as monitors often coming with Onsite Warranty.
Our Support team in Ireland is there to provide assistance however they are not there to provide technical support for components and accessories with their job being to assist with placing orders , organising deliveries and answering questions about the order and to point a customer in the right direction when it comes to warranty. It is important to understand that if you purchase a motherboards , graphics card or other components you are understood to have a level of experience which eliminates the need for us to provide technical support.
We are always here to help and assist our customers but please undersstand that when it comes to component and accessory orders this is a service we provide to our customers in Ireland and it is not our main business. If we can help or support teams willl but again if you are purchasing from TECHDIRECT you are expented to have an understanding of the components you purchase and are capable of installing and problem solving any potential issus you may run into. This does not mean we will not try to offer you assitance but it does mean we cannot always provide complete technical support given we may not have direct experience with all components or accessories listed on our website.
All support is provided online by email or through our contact form and Help Desk. We cannot accept orders over the phone and we do not provide telephone support. All orders must be placed online with a valid payment and delivery method selected.
